Hybrid batteries last a long time — and when yours needs service, you have options. We rebuild, replace, or upgrade — depending on your vehicle, mileage, and how you use the car. Every pack that comes through the bay passes the same testing standard. Three honest paths, detailed in the section below.

When the scan tool can't pinpoint a fault, we go deeper. We measure resistance across high-voltage circuits, isolate inverter and battery management faults, and verify HV cable integrity. This is the work most general shops are not trained or insured to perform.

The ABS actuator handles brake fluid pressure and regenerative braking modulation on Toyota and Lexus hybrids. When it fails, you'll see a brake-system warning and a hybrid-system warning together. We diagnose, replace, and bleed the system using factory-spec procedures.

Toyota and Lexus 2AR-FXE and 2ZR-FXE engines develop head gasket failures around 150,000 miles, most often triggered by clogged EGR systems restricting exhaust flow and raising combustion temperatures. Every head gasket job includes EGR system cleaning or replacement — see the next card.

Clogged EGR systems are the leading cause of head gasket failure on Toyota hybrids. Carbon buildup restricts exhaust gas recirculation, raising combustion temperatures until the head gasket fails. When the valve and cooler can be cleaned, we clean them. When carbon damage is beyond restoration, we replace with used OEM or new OEM depending on your budget. EGR service is included with every head gasket job.

When repair isn't worth the cost, we install low-mileage engines and transmissions shipped from Japan. These typically run 60,000-75,000 miles. We do this work primarily on 2010-2015 Prius, Camry Hybrid, and Lexus CT200h.
